Sustainability
At Onli Travel, we care about the environment, and we would like to do what we can to support transparency and be environmentally and socially responsible.
At the same time, we recognize that, as a small start-up, there are limits to what we can do. This summary describes the actions we have taken to try to be as environmentally and socially responsible as we can be.
We decided to manufacture in Vietnam because we felt we could get the transparency we wanted for our business and our customers. We have a personal relationship with the President and the management team of our supplier, and we visited the factory before shipping our first order. We have a detailed list of our vendor’s suppliers. In addition, we sought out suppliers who were BlueSign certified wherever possible. In the Trilogy Modular Travel System, the main fabric, the liner, the mesh, the zippers, the plastic hardware such as hooks and buckles, and the Velcro all come from BlueSign certified suppliers.
Our supplier’s factory is also ISO 9001 certified, which improves quality and establishes a formal quality system. In addition, the factory has completed an AMFORI Social Responsibility Audit. This found that there was no child labor or “precarious employment”, and no human trafficking or forced labor. Standards were in place for protection of the environment and ethical business behavior. Workers have rights of freedom of association and collective bargaining, and there was no discrimination, violence, or harassment found at the facility.
We will continue to seek out ways to improve the environmental friendliness and transparency of our suppliers as we develop and improve our products. We believe we have made a good start, particularly for a small start-up, and we will sustain the effort.
Thank You, and Happy Traveling,
Dave and the Onli Travel Team
